Our strategy

Another successful business year is behind us, despite many challenges: unfavorable socio-economic environment, regulatory pressures and raising local and global competition.

We continued with our trend of innovation of products and services and achieved great business results:

We introduced hardware sales on installments, and provided to our customers possibility to purchase latest models of TV devices, lap-tops, fixed and smartphones. Also, we launched Media box which enables our customers free on-line space up to 10 GB, for storage of digital content. We improved our Extra TV applications and introduced HBO GO service. We provided iPhone 5 for Montenegrin market, as exclusive distributor.

We became leader in mobile internet in June 2012. Since then, we are constantly improving our market share, and we had almost 40% of market share at the end of year. We improved our customer base in business postpaid for 5% and achieved great results in Integris.

As leaders in optical revolution in Montenegro, we can be proud of our achievements in 2012. We covered with optic fibers 10% of households in Montenegro and increased number of customers of super-fast data transfer for 5 times, which confirms that even our customers share our vision - fiber optics is “infrastructure of the future”. In mobile telephony, we introduced 4G network in 2012., which will provide to our customers even faster and better data transfer and more stable service.

Our priority was and remains satisfied customer. Satisfaction of customers is conditioned by quality and reliability of services, which requires constant development and improvement of network. As a reward for investments in network modernization, we received two international acknowledgments – Certificates for fastest mobile broadband in 11 biggest Montenegrin cities from independent global company P3 Communications. Also, World Finance Magazine gave us award for best BB provider in East Europe. Biggest acknowledgment arrived from Montenegrin citizens who recognized quality and innovation of our services and transferred more than half of all numbers to Telekom network in 2012. The trust they gave us is an additional incentive to be even better and more competitive in 2013.

These awards are, in the first place, result of devoted and responsible work of our employees. Telekom always aimed to be best place to perform and grow and therefore strived to provide conditions for personal improvement of employees through many trainings, courses, international exchange programs etc. We are proud to say that we received an official reward for this in 2012. Telekom is the most organized big company and second best big company to work for in Montenegro, according to Blue Coach research for 2012.

Crnogorski Telekom, as one of leading companies in country, is continuously developing responsible approach towards society we do business in, supporting initiatives of social importance. We supported many actions and projects in areas of sport, education and culture, and we would emphasize extension of cooperation with WHT Budućnost and FA of Montenegro, free ADSL for all schools in our country for next five years, help for citizens affected by bad weather conditions and many more.

In times when many companies operate with losses, Telekom managed to pay dividends in total amount of 16.5 million of euros to its shareholders.

Year that is ahead of us will be, according to expectations and forecasts, uncertain, so in order to respond properly and timely to financial and operational challenges, we prepared new strategy. Crnogorski Telekom must fortify its core strengths and advantages to compete with emerging competition, but also to transform its business model, to ensure cost discipline and provide resources for new innovations.

New strategy is based on three strategic pillars: Broadband, Transformation and Innovation

Stand for Broadband:
Fixed and mobile broadband are the main driving forces and key strengths of Crnogorski Telekom. Therefore, investments in a smarter and faster network infrastructure: FTTX and LTE are main priorities, along with the migration to IP telephony. Investments in infrastructure together with dynamic sales of broadband services will enable us to keep leadership in fixed BB and increase our market share in mobile broadband. In this way, we will further provide unique and superior experience of integrated services and high-quality content through all screens on all user devices. The goal is to provide ultra high-speed Internet access at any time, from any place and from any device, and to become the best provider of digital lifestyle in Montenegro.

Transform to outperform
Faced with numerous challenges, all major telco operators started extensive transformation programs. CT restructured its organizational model by introducing B2B and B2C units in order to increase the flexibility and adaptability to changing market conditions. Customer satisfaction is still in first place and focuses on minimizing their efforts through further improvements of customer facing processes. At the same time we will work on improving operational model by creating supportive working environment through e-Company initiatives.

New way to play
Saturation of traditional markets, smartphone revolution and emerging patterns of user behavior, on the one hand, as well as increasing economic and regulatory pressures on the other , call for doing business through constant innovation of user and network services and proactive cooperation with partners. Resale of consumer devices in installments, cloud services for residential users and SME, as well as improved software portfolio of ICT solutions are in focus for 2013, together with the exploitation of new services, in line with customers’ expectations.

Successful realization of strategy will enable efficient operating of company and provide resources for the exploitation of new market opportunities and innovations of so called smart services, applications and devices. Only in this way, we will provide prerequisites for realization of our long-term vision:
